"We laugh until we think we die barefoot on a summer night never could be sweeter than with you. And in the streets wer‘re running free, like it‘s only you and me. Home, let me go home. Home is wherever I‘m with you."
(Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros)
Festivals are about music and people. As a photographer I love to take portraits of the audience as much as I like to shoot the musicians and bands. Every festival has its own crowd. There are the small ones, where everyone is wearing glitter and flowers in their hair, looking like a character from a fairy tale and there are the bigger ones, where you have to look out for special people.
I like capturing the small moments, in which those people interact with me and we share a small moment of the joy a festival means. There is always a certain magic, that comes from the combination of long lasting nights, great music, new love and the freedom you share with others.
Even if I mostly don't know anything about the people in the portraits I can say that say touched me in a way, because they love the same things as I do.
